Chromium Carbide Overlay Wear Plate is manufactured using wear resistant overlay welding wires and powder metallurgy cladding technology. The wear resistant alloy layer containing high-density chromium carbide hard particles is fused onto the mild steel base plate. By incorporating special alloying elements to form functional carbides, this material not only achieves excellent surface quality but also exhibits an extremely low coefficient of friction and outstanding wear resistance.
The cladding layer of the wear resistant material primarily consists of chromium (Cr) and carbon (C), which combine to form chromium carbide (Cr7C3). The high concentration of Cr and C within the layer increases the volume fraction of carbides, thereby providing superior wear resistance.
Developed by HISAN, Chromium Carbide Overlay Wear Plates are widely used across industries including mining, steel, port, cement, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, coal-fired power, metal recycling, glass production, sugar manufacturing, dredging, and pulp & paper.
